Family Restoration
Families should stick together. No matter what happens, we want the families in our community to know we care. That’s why we’ve launched an initiative to help those families that need it most. With the help of trusted clients, activists and partners, we are directly impacting families with terminal children.
These are amazing kids. Young girls and boys fighting every day for their lives. And they deserve better. They deserve to live out their dreams. They deserve to lead healthy, happy lives, free from constant pain and suffering.
For this reason, we pledge to devote valuable time and resources to this cause. It is our mission to support local agencies in this ongoing battle. The truth is, life isn’t fair. Sometimes, terrible illnesses and diseases afflict the most precious among us. When we see young kids battling just to stay alive, it breaks our hearts. But more importantly, it moves us to action.
With this initiative, it is our goal to not only raise awareness and garner support, but to galvanize the community as a whole. People are naturally good. Meals To Heal
The statistics are absolutely alarming. Roughly 16 million American children go hungry each year. Even worse, almost 50 million Americans live in households struggling to acquire nutritious food on a consistent basis. Of these households, roughly 16 million are malnourished children. These are kids who can’t always get hot meals. They don’t always eat. They’re hungry, they’re thirsty. In many cases, they’re unhealthy.
Sadly, it’s a problem that we’ve known about for quite some time. Despite many monumental efforts, the problem persists. The majority of teachers report their students coming to school hungry. Many minority children are especially at-risk. In fact, black and hispanic kids go hungry at a rate double that of white children.
Whether in our local communities, or across the country, we continue to work. Schools, education centers and recreational facilities are doing their part. The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides nutritional lunches at low-costs or free of charge. Volunteer groups and action committees are getting involved.
But more is required. That’s why we’re partnering with community organizations and activists to help those children closest to us.
Hunger is more than a lack of good, balanced food. Hunger is about missed opportunities. It’s about socio-economics. It’s about lost potential. It’s about the promise of youth fading away. Fortunately, we are now championing incredible initiatives through the grassroots efforts of a number of local organizations.
